The innovative Cordless Hand Scanner 7C from Socket-Mobile combines Linear CMOS barcode scanning and the convenience of Bluetooth wireless technology in a single, compact, lightweight device that is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. The Class-1 Bluetooth radio provides a maximum range of 330 ft. (100 m). Powered by 2 rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries, the Cordless Hand Scanner 7C consumes minimal power and offers an expected battery life of 8,000 scans under normal operating conditions. SocketScan keyboard emulation software sends scanned data into any Windows, Palm, Symbian or RIM program. The exclusive error-proof protocol prevents errors in wireless transmission of data to the host computer with real-time data validation. The device also incorporates a built-in stylus tip for PDA touch screens and a battery status warning light.
