Panasonic 8485 Series Security System Products

The 8485 Series, designed for Panasonic Security System products, is capable of transmitting four channels of high-quality video with switch selectable bi-directional RS485 data or bi-directional RS422 and RS232 on a single multimode optical fiber. The circuit design includes a switch selectable 2 or 4 wire configuration and the ability to select data line termination. Additionally, two sub-carriers can be added to each video channel using the 500 Series modulators and demodulators. The system requires no field adjustments at installation or additional maintenance and is designed to be completely transparent. A quick visual indication of system status is also provided by diagnostic indicators. Equipment may be mounted as stand alone modules or rack units by the position of the mounting brackets
