The new Magellan 9800i scanner by Datalogic is the world’s first barcode scanner driven completely by high performance digital imaging, resulting in the ability to increase checkout performance in the world’s busiest checkout environments. Part of a state-of-the-art family of imaging scanners and scanner/scales, the Magellan 9800i scanner offers high reliability designed to provide maximum throughput for 1D and 2D bar codes. The striking design of the Magellan 9800i improves ergonomics with its lower bonnet height allowing improved placement of POS or Self-Checkout touchscreens, payment terminals and receipt printers, which also give flexibility to both standing and seated cashiers.
